For those dedicated to Funk, R&B and Soul. This is a Jam session with a Funky House Band. Every Monday night from 6:30pm at the Piano Bar.
The ‘Groove Night Jam’ is on every Monday night at The Piano Bar Maroochydore from 6:30pm.
Whether you’re a musician or a music lover/listener, this is the night where great musicians come together to perform, jam, network and share ideas.
A great house band meets here every Monday to Jam and play Funk, Soul, R&B. (some Jazz).
This night is designed not only for professionals but for aspiring artists.
If you are dedicated to Funk, R&B and Soul…please come and join in.
The House Band will be playing regardless, so come down and listen even if you don’t want to play.
We welcome musicians to come and Jam or sit in with the band.
(including Brass players and Vocalists).
We would love to know if you plan on coming so we can prepare, and have any songs that you would like to perform or jam to. (send us a Facebook message)
We like to play songs from Artists such as: Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power, Sly and the Family Stone, Michael Jackson, P-Funk, Jill Scott, Rick James, Marvin Gaye, Chic, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway and Many more (Old school and modern Artists included).
If you do decide you want to play, have a maximum of 3 songs ready to play/sing. On a busy night, allow 10-15 minutes each performer.
To make this event fun for everyone, we do expect that you know the tunes well before you come.
* You will be performing in front of paying diners!
* We would like to keep the bar high so please practice really hard before you come.
* This is how we can make it fun for everyone! And you will inspire others if you know your tune/s well.
*Age restrictions don't apply at this venue.
*Please note that there is a dress code after 5pm….smart dress example. men…long pants, no thongs, singlets or hats etc.

* Keyboard (88 note/weighted keys)
* Drum kit (bring your own crash cymbals if you are a hard hitter)
* 4 Vocal Microphones.
* PA system (12 channel mixer with basic effects)
BYO guitars, amps, leads, brass instruments.
